Another Albuquerque Family Session in the books for one of my favorite families to photograph. It has been too long since their last family portrait session. I had been discussing with them the new location I had been searching for. They were all for being guinea pig number 2 for me. I love it when families are all in to try new adventures.
Of course, the day of the shoot there was nothing but definite storms in the forecast. We decided to shoot first thing in the morning if there were overcast clouds instead of hitting sunset. That was when the storm was supposed to rage. To our surprise it was a beautiful calm overcast morning.
Perfect for a morning family session. The last family session I had at White Mesa was a sunset engagement session. I won’t mention that, yet again, the forecast did not in fact bring any storms in the evening. By that time it didn’t matter though. We had already captured beautiful family photos in this hidden gem just outside of Rio Rancho.
The little one are always such models. I love it!!! They just let me do my thing. I was even able to get some of Mom and Dad. I think those may be my favorite. I think it is hard to remember during a family session, that the reason you are all there is because of who it all started with. Mom and Dad are still so in love and it shows!
