As an Albuquerque New Mexico Family Photographer | Najera’s Family was such a pleasure to capture.

Just before Christmas last year, a lovely lady reached out to me to purchase a gift card for her father. She was pleasant and decisive, sure that this is what he wanted. Crazy to me, as many of the dads that I have encounter throughout the year as an Albuquerque New Mexico Family Photographer | Najera’s Family had a dad that definitely wanted family photos. I Love it!!!

When it was time for him to schedule, he called me so excited! And not knowing exactly what he wanted as far as location. I let him know my favorite place to shoot along the Bosque. It is quieter than most trailheads and convenient enough that each family member would be able to get there without any problem. We decided to hold off until June, as it take a bit more time for the brush to become green again from Fall/Winter season.

Finally came time to schedule as he was able to coordinate with his son and daughter. That’s when I found out I actually knew the lovely pleasant woman on the phone. She ended up being my son’s preschool teacher when he was about 2 years old. I was not surprised. She was so wonderful to my little man. Now I was even more stoked to capture this family. She even helped to coordination their awesome attire. Spot on!

When the shoot day came, Rio Rancho and Albuquerque New Mexico did not disappoint. It was a day of watching the weather. Is it going to rain? Will it be windy? Is it too dark already because the sun hasn’t come out all day? Well we improvised to move the shoot a bit earlier. EVERYONE made it!

It was such a lovely shoot getting to know everyone. Even moreso we were able to capture some lovely engagement shots of the the oldest daughter as she just got engaged not 3 months before. It was the icing on the cake.

Mom and Dad were so proud of their daughter and their son. It was easy to see. They loved talking about their son on the phone who was in the reserves. And their eyes glistened while even in person. It warmed my heart see such a close knit family. I truly can’t wait for the next time our paths cross. So much to be excited about for them!
