Being an Albuquerque New Mexico Newborn Photographer I have a chance to capture so many families. I do cherish every single one that comes through our doors, but every now and again you meet people that you know will instant be in your lives from that day forward. Vida’s family is just that. Vida is short for the most beautiful name, Vidamia. I have never heard that name before but let me tell you, there could not be a more perfect name for this beautiful blessing.
Mom and Dad had just had Vida when they contacted me. And I’m so glad they did because I was able to fit them in my schedule before the newborn window was closed. We held the session at just about 2 weeks old. Vida was definitely starting to become more alert. She did not want to go into a deep sleep for us. She didn’t want to miss any of the action. What she didn’t do however, was cry. I never heard a single peep from her. We just waited her out. But I have to admit the best photo she took was with her eyes open. Staring directly at the camera. It was as if she was saying, you will remember me. And Vida, yes I will! You are so beautiful, I can’t wait to watch you grow sweet girl!
The best part of the session was watching Vida fall into a deep sleep. When, you ask? At the very end when we were all out of sets and outfits of course. We wanted one last photo to accessorize with sunglasses and she let us know that that was not going to happen. I surrendered. But I was okay with that. We surely got what we needed.
Being an Albuquerque New Mexico Newborn Photographer is the best job in the world. See for yourself.
