Albuquerque Family Photographer | Balloon Fiesta

As an Albuquerque Family Photographer | Balloon Fiesta is one of my favorite events. We are so happy to have the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta back this year. Last year was such a solemn time for New Mexicans, and everyone for that matter. This was just one event that was cancelled due to Covid-19. Balloon Fiesta, people travel from all around the world. We get to show off our city proudly, and enjoy the splendor of the season.

As for my family, we still decided to stay away from entering the event. We are still trying to live in our Covid bubble as best we can. The wonderful thing about the Albuquerque Ballon Fiesta, however is that you do not have to attend the event to enjoy it. The entire Albuquerque Metro Area can appreciate the magic and wonder.

As an Albuquerque Family Photographer | Balloon Fiesta I have yet to photograph a family inside the Fiesta park, but have had the pleasure of capturing many portrait sessions outside the park. I find that you can actually capture more Balloons in the backdrop if you away from the event. You can view a couple  family sessions that I had the pleasure of taking.

Rio Rancho Newborn Photographer | First Day of Fall

Rio Rancho Newborn Photographer | First Day of Fall, what an awesome time of year. Fall is the beginning of all of the fun Albuquerque New Mexico has to offer. First we have the New Mexico State Fair. Then we have the Balloon Fiesta which leads into all of the Harvest Festivals. Following is Thanksgiving and Christmas to New Years. This season of the year for photographers is the equivalent of Tax season for accountants. So Hug a photographer today!

We get to see most of the clients around this time of year, to prep for their holiday cards.

This little man I got to meet when he was just days old for his newborn session.

He was such a little stud. I do love starting to get to know clients from maternity or newborn sessions. This gives me the opportunity to watch the little ones grow year after year. So for the little guy’s first birthday I was able to take their Fall Family Portraits.

So for this Rio Rancho Newborn Photographer | First Day of Fall, we are celebrating by showing off their Fall Family Session last year. I can’t wait to see them this year! And I can’t wait to see all of my DRP Families and meet even more new ones. Happy Fall Y’all!

Albuquerque Family Photography | Bentz Family

Albuquerque Family Photography | Bentz Family came back to DaniRae Photography for their 2021 family portraits. Last year was the first year DRP was able to meet them. Why? because baby Max had just entered the world. We were able to capture his newborn images. What fun he was. I must say the most memorable part was his little bowtie. And low and behold Mama brought along another bowtie to commemorate his first year. They opted not to do a smash cake, but rather capture family images with him.

We laughed, we cried, we jumped, and screamed. This little man has all the charm. Let me tell you. He has all the faces. And I made sure to capture them all.

My hope for Albuquerque Family Photography | Bentz Family will be that they reach out to me each year to follow so I may watch little Max grow and see all the bowties life has to offer year after year. I have a feeling his mama has started something we need to see all the way through high school graduation and beyond. I personally love a bowtie but seeing one on a first birthday boy is just the sweetest sight. And don’t get me started on the suspenders! You have to see for yourself.

Albuquerque Newborn Photographer | Dani Turns 35

Albuquerque Newborn Photographer | Dani Turns 35. This is more of a reminiscent blog post. Last week I turned 35 years old. I find my self, for the most part, to be a positive person. When it comes to each birthday after 29, I dread it. I cannot really say why other than I am a goal seeker. Most people think it is my discontent of getting old in general. I really feel like it is more that I have so many goals that I have manifested throughout the years and I have not achieved them yet.

It is so important to me that one day, I am able to be a full time newborn photographer without having a full time separate job on top of that. I am actually extremely happy with my “day job” it was just never part of my long term plan. I think it surprised me how much I enjoyed and excelled at it.

Albuquerque Newborn Photographer | Dani Turns 35. So moving forward I am manifesting my goals into each day. Working on at least one thing daily that takes me one step closer. Why? Because I know I can do it. Why? Because I am never too old. Why? Because my children are watching.

And this is a thank you to my husband for getting ALL the hints and getting me the best Birthday Gift ever. I LOVE IT!

And below is just a little reminder that you need to exist in photos. Stop being so hard on yourself. Blurry photos, bad hair day, whatever. You need to be present. Embrace change. This is me celebrating me on the day I turned 35.
