LCHS 2021 Senior

We grabbed this LCHS 2021 Senior shoot just in time. The shutdown was the following week. I was so excited for this session. We had been planning this for a few months. All fell into place on the last days. The senior had her heart set on the pecan orchards. We reached out to Stahmanns Farms and they were so wonderful and accommodating. The couple that helped us on their day off, even drove us to the field which offered the best light. I was so pleased with Sally and her husband. I can’t thank them enough for their help and consideration. My senior glowed in this location too. It was a great start to a wonderful evening of photos. We then moved to Old Town Mesilla Mom had some eyed locations to shoot at, as well as myself and my senior, so we were on a whirlwind session. Then we finished at her soon to be alma mater. We came to the same place when she started here first year here as a freshman. Can’t believe how fast that went by. She is a LCHS 2021 Senior in the time of Covid. A wonderful cheerleader. Celebrating the most exciting year of high school on the sidelines with the rest of the world. Our hope is that this pandemic is gone soon and she can shine bright again doing the thing she loves.

Baby Roc and Family Session

Baby Roc and family session. I can’t believe it has been just over a year since we met Baby Roc at his newborn session. And now we are doing their first post newborn photos. We loved meeting Baby Roc who not such a baby anymore. He is a big 1 year old now. Mama reached out just in time for a family session to catch the awesome fall leaves. We decided to beat the weather last minute and sprung for a morning session early instead of an evening we had originally planned. This was the perfect move. The snow came just as planned the following day. The frigid weather was just as expected that night. Thank goodness this family are good with early to rise. 🙂

Photos Along the Bosque

DRP was able to capture another set of Photos Along the Bosque. It has been a couple of year since we have had this family in for a session. The last one was for our marathon holiday mini session in our in home studio. You can see them here. It was so nice to have them back and spend a little more time with them. The kids are definitely bigger. But the best part was that the youngest was able to be around me without balling her eyes out. I have been taking her photos since she was one year old and every year it was been alligator tears. But every year is in the studio. I think she loved being out with nature in a large space with her family than in a smaller space in my studio with just her and her mama. I felt like a million bucks when she smiled at me. My heart is full and my year has been made.

Check it out the photos along the Bosque!

Portraits at the Bosque

It is the that time of year again, for Portraits at the Bosque. We have been to this location with the exact family within the last two year. You wouldn’t know it however. The babies are not babies anymore and it is amazing what moving around a little can do. The images look like they are from a completely different trail. That is the beauty of New Mexico landscape. There is always more to discover. It took us a couple years of coming to this spot to realize there was a “beach” inside of it. We must have passed it 30 times. Then one day we heard kids playing and had no idea where the fun was happening. After a bit of investing it became our go to getaway from quarantine. The best discovery for our summer. Now we share it with the DRP families as a beautiful place to enjoy Portraits at the Bosque.

Check them out.
